Electrolysis and/or Galvanoplasty
 


 

We provide electrolysis service. Also called electroplating and/or galvanoplasty, a process that consists of: Applying electrochemical processes to also give a protective coating against the corrosion and with decorative purposes for metallic and plastic parts. With metals like: copper, nickel, zinc, silver.

Definition of  “galvanoplasty”
It is the process by which, by means of the electricity, a metal is deposited on another one. An electrical current is passed from the plates submerged (anodes) towards the object that needs to be galvanized, through a solution of metallic salts (electrolysis). The anodes are of he same metal as the electrolysis and it slowly dissolves into it. The metal ions are attracted by the objects that are galvanized and here they discharge their electrical charges as they are deposited on their respective surfaces. Silver, nickel, copper and zinc are the more commonly used metals in this process.
